The short version: this website does not set cookies, does not use analytics, and does not load advertising or tracking scripts. That is why you do not see a cookie banner here.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They are commonly used for sessions, preferences, analytics and advertising. Related technologies include local storage, session storage and tracking pixels.
2. Cookies on this website
We set no cookies and use no local storage, session storage, tracking pixels, or analytics SDKs on this site. All fonts, images and scripts are served from this site; there are no embedded third-party widgets.
Our hosting provider may process standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Those logs are not used by us to build advertising profiles.
3. The launcher
The Polaris launcher is a desktop application, not a website. It stores settings, accounts, instances and caches in its own data folder, as described in the privacy policy. It also stores your selected visual theme in the app's local storage. These are local files, not cookies, and they are not sent to advertisers.
4. Third-party links and downloads
Links to GitHub, Modrinth, Microsoft, Mojang or other sites are governed by those sites' cookie policies once you open them. If you download an installer from GitHub, GitHub may set its own cookies on its domain. We do not control those cookies.
5. Managing cookies
Because this site sets no cookies, there is nothing to opt out of here. You can still block or delete cookies for all sites in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not break this site. We do not track you across sites, so Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control require no special handling.
6. Changes
If we ever add a feature that sets a cookie or uses analytics, we will update this page and add an appropriate consent control before enabling it. The effective date at the top will change.
